What features are available on this chopping boards?

You can choose with or without a juice groove and corner well. An optional walnut and maple accent strip adds a unique distinctive touch.

Do you make other styles, like bread boards or lipped chopping boards?

Yes, we offer several different types of boards - all extremely versatile. Please see the Boards section from the Shop menu above.

Is this board a good wedding or anniversary gift?

Absolutely. Wood is the traditional 5th wedding anniversary gift, making this a meaningful and practical keepsake. These boards are also very popular as a personalised wedding gift.

Can I order a large personalised chopping board?

Yes — choose Large or X-Large for bigger gatherings, or contact us with your custom dimensions.

Is the chopping board engraved or laser-etched?

We hand carve each inscription deeply into the oak for a permanent, lasting finish. None of our products are personalised with a laser burn, which will fade over time.

So is it a chopping board or a carving board?

Our boards are built to be your everyday chopping friend (veg, bread, onions-with-tears) and your Sunday carving hero when the roast rolls out. Broadly, people say “chopping board” for daily prep and “carving board” for roasts (often with a juice groove/well) — but there’s no Board Police or official rulebook. We make ours to do both. Pick the options that fit how you cook: Juice groove and corner well (ace for joints, turkeys and BBQ feasts) Lipped edge (helps anchor to the counter) Clean, groove-free surface (sleek everyday prep) Call it a chopping board, a carving board, or “the big oak one” — it’s designed to handle both. Just save us a splash of gravy.

Personalised Oak Carving Board

There’s a moment at every roast when everyone leans in. That’s where this solid oak carving board earns its place. It’s weighty, beautifully finished, and personalised just for you - we can hand-carve up to 35 characters, per side (a family name, a quote, a house name or a short message) so it feels like it’s always belonged on your table.
Many customers tell us it quickly becomes an heirloom: the board that appears in photos, seasons with use, and quietly carries the memories of big Sundays and easy weeknights.

We make from thick premium FSC certified English oak.
The practical bits are all there without shouting about themselves: side hand slots for a sure grip, a juice groove with a corner well, and a tapered lip so the gravy goes into the jug, not across the counter.

Whether you’re carving a chicken for four, plating up BBQ, or carrying a Christmas turkey to the centre of the room, this handcrafted, personalised oak chopping board feels right at home. It’s thoughtful to gift, satisfying to use, and, if we’re honest, exactly the kind of centrepiece people talk about long after the meal is over.
